About my work
Hi! My name is Kassidy Rivero and I am currently a freshman at Louisiana State University. My work focuses on applying mechanical engineering concepts to real-world projects through design, analysis, and hands-on problem solving. I have experience with technical drawings, CAD modeling using Fusion 360, and reverse engineering processes. Through projects such as my rotary sander analysis, I have developed skills in understanding mechanical systems, evaluating performance, and proposing practical improvements.
I aim to create efficient, functional designs while clearly communicating technical information through reports, drawings, and presentations!
My core capabilities
I am developing core skills in CAD modeling, mechanical system analysis, and the engineering design process through hands-on projects such as designing and evaluating a rotary sander.
Design
This CAD model represents the sanding pad/velcro screw on bottom of a rotary sander designed in Fusion 360. It demonstrates my ability to create precise 3D geometry, apply correct constraints, and model components that fit within a mechanical assembly.
Simulation
This animation visualizes the motion of the drivetrain within the rotary sander, showing how power is transmitted through the system components
Design/Development
My work involves CAD modeling, technical hand-drawings, mechanical system analysis, and design documentation through hands-on engineering projects.
